SCG (Siam Cement Group) was established in 1913, founded upon the royal vision of His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), to serve as Thailand’s first cement manufacturer. Its initial objectives were to manage resources efficiently, reduce reliance on imports, and develop the potential of Thai industry.

Journey of Success:
- 1913 (BE 2456): Siam Cement Co., Ltd. was established and registered as a limited company.
- 1915 (BE 2458): The Bangsue Cement Plant commenced production operations.
- 1922 (BE 2465): Production capacity was increased to meet rising demand.
- 1929 (BE 2472): Total production capacity was expanded to 108,000 tons per year.
From its origins in the cement industry, SCG has diversified its business operations to encompass various sectors, including building materials, chemicals, and packaging.
